Meet our founder:

David Wedemeyer, DC, CPed

Dr. David Wedemeyer is a Certified Pedorthist, educator, and former Chiropractic Doctor whose practice serving the Orange County region spans more than three decades. He specializes in designing, fabricating and dispensing custom foot orthotics, solid ankle/foot orthoses (AFOs), and other therapeutic devices for patients presenting with a variety of foot and ankle conditions.

As a former supplier for California’s Medicare Diabetic Therapeutic Shoe Bill, Dr. Wedemeyer has extensive experience providing Medicare patients with protective footwear and corrective insoles he designed and fabricated to prevent ulcerations leading to amputation and improve foot functionality for patients with diabetic neuropathy.

As an avid cyclist and martial artist, Dr. Wedemeyer’s initial interest in pedorthosis is personal. Having endured years of his own chronic foot pain, he sought training from experts in properly assessing and fitting patients for corrective orthotics. Over time, he developed innovative therapeutic fabrications to correct difficult-to-treat problems where other orthotics had failed.

Dr. Wedemeyer’s unique technical approach to orthotic therapy garnered a following of medical professionals who have sought his expertise for consulting and training purposes and routinely refer patients in need of custom orthotics for complicated foot problems. Frequently invited to speak on the subjects of biomechanics and therapeutic orthotics at industry events, Dr. Wedemeyer also teaches Continuing Education (CE) courses for medical professionals to earn CE credits required to maintain professional license currency.

Born and raised in Orange County, Dr. Wedemyer based his practice in Costa Mesa and is available to patients and professionals by appointment only.
